Born in Ireland in 1977, I have been shooting photography since I was a young child. Growing up in the picturesque Wicklow Mountains inspired in me a fascination and love of nature and wild open spaces.
Formerly the ‘Natural Light Gallery blog’, I decided to expand beyond being just another photo blog, into exploring the relationship we have with wilderness from my own personal experiences.
I have spent much of my life traveling the globe in search of remoteness, and conveying my experiences through Photography and film. I care passionately about the protection of wild and uncultivated spaces, and consider them to be the most precious places on Earth.
I now live in Cornwall, UK, with my wife, Eva, who shares a passion for open wild spaces.
I hold an honours degree in Documentary photography from the University of Wales in Newport and am currently a postgraduate student in Evolutionary Biology at the University of Exeter.
